Well, aren’t you the brave one? So you want to know a little bit about me? I guess I should warn you now that there’s not a whole lot of interesting going on around here. No major drama, no craziness…just your average run-of-the-mill working girl, shuffling through this crazy thing called life.
I pretty much just spend most of my time going to my day job and tending to my home. I like hanging out with my dog, Tinkerbell and with my family. I enjoy playing around with graphics on my computer using Photoshop.
If you are really determined to find out more about me, here are a few tidbits I can share:
I have a regular day job; this blogging thing is totally just a part-time gig.
I don’t have any children; I have a Dachshund, which is pretty much the same as having a permanent three-year-old child…you will never sleep late again as long as this animal is living under your roof.
I love bird watching. The bird feeder in my yard provides endless hours of entertainment. There is nothing quite so enjoyable as watching a Blue Jay nail an English Sparrow and drop him to the ground in order to get that last stale peanut from the feeder.
Hoarding totally freaks me out. Come on people! Do you really NEED those rotten banana peels, empty toilet paper rolls, and old pizza delivery boxes? You do realize that they qualify as GARBAGE, don’t you? Can’t you just let them go?
I wish, I wish, I wish I had a really great camera and knew how to use it properly. My photography skills are lacking…I know this. But then again, it comforts me to know I’m not the only one with this problem.
I am not a sports buff, but I do like to watch ice hockey. If you are not familiar with how it is played, allow me to clue you in: You need to get the little round black thingy into the big floor basket that is located at the end of the giant frozen basketball court. The most important thing, however, is to beat up as many people as you can on the way down there.

“Songbird Cottage” is what I decided to call my little home here in Houston, Texas. I moved here in 2005 and have been nesting ever since. The house was built around 1983, complete with those ever popular standard laminate butcher block counter tops. It measures a whopping big 831 square feet. By Texas standards, the whole house is pretty much considered a walk-in closet.

Tinkerbell (a.k.a., T-Bell, Tinky-B) is my spoiled-beyond-repair Dachshund mix. I brought her into my home at the tender age of ten weeks, where she politely proceeded to pee on my sofa and take over my house completely. She is stubborn to the core, completely self-centered, and always in my business. I absolutely adore her!
